History of Češek's Mill

Češek's Mill is situated on the left bank of Vsetínská Bečva river near the Bystřička village. It is a small family mill, where the miller's trade is inherited from generation to generation.

The mill was built in 1934 by Jan Češek as a water mill and was used for so called farm milling.

In 1953 the mill was nationalised (overtaken by the state) and gradually devastated, both the premises and equipment.

In 1991 the family asked for reversion of the building. They invested to new machine equipment and reconstruction of the building and the mill started to be used for its original purpose.

After five years graineries, storerooms and a new skip loader and in 2002 a new laboratory, sanitary facilities, office and a shop for proper products were added.

To use our own quality flour well, a new pasta hall was built in 2005.

At present the mill is run by Češkův mlýn, ltd. company, which continues in tradition of production of high quality flour for a lot of bakeries in its region. We produce quality fodder ingredients for farms and private breeders. In our own shops quality flour, fodders, pasta, oat flakes and other commodities are offered.

The quality of our products is guaranteed by laboratory analysis aimed at good qualities of bakery flour which is made exclusively from food corn from producers from suitable areas of the Czech Republic.

Our aim is to satisfy our customers to highest extent. We would like them to be satisfied with both quality of our goods and services as well. We know that we are successful.
